The Oak Tree
Imagine exchanging vows beneath the sprawling branches of a majestic oak tree whose presence adds a sense of timeless romance to your special day. Nestled in a serene setting, this breathtaking ceremony site offers a natural canopy of shade, dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves as you stand before family and friends. The beauty of the oak, paired with the peaceful surroundings, creates an intimate and unforgettable backdrop—one that feels both grand and deeply personal.
The Trolley Barn
It was our trip to Charleston with the trolleys driving up and down the streets that suddenly captured my thoughts. We had plans of future cottages on the property but supporting our local hotels and tourism was very important to us. Finding “Ollie” was another story and her name is my grandmother’s name, Ollie Perry, wife of Arling Perry. How perfect to have our Ollie the Trolley. Ollie needed an enclosed home to protect her exterior wood. A phone call to Kim was made to get her help again. As the trolley barn was being designed from a covered bridge design, one day I was telling my brother Kenny that I would love a small chapel on the property. A local friend was standing close by and commented “if you do that, I have some very old church windows in my barn for sale.” It was a perfect addition to suddenly have my little chapel and double as Ollie’s home.
The Bunk House
The Bunk House is where you’ll find our men’s quarters. Featuring plenty of room to move, a kitchenette, bathroom, shower, basketball, pingpong, cornhole and plenty of other activities to keep everyone comfortable.
The Bridge
Inspired by a trip to the Senior British Open at St. Andrews, we modeled our “Milliken Bridge” after the famous 700 year old “Swilcan Bridge”. Tucked within the scenic landscape of The Arling, our charming stone bridge offers a picture-perfect setting for capturing unforgettable wedding moments. With its elegant arch and timeless design, the bridge provides a romantic backdrop for couple’s portraits, first looks, and candid embraces. Framed by lush greenery and reflecting the natural beauty of the surroundings, this intimate spot adds a touch of magic to the day.

From the moment, my mother and I did a walk through of The Arling, we absolutely fell in love. This venue is absolutely fabulous. The barn is spacious and the grounds are just gorgeous. We both knew immediately that it was the only place for my wedding. The bonus is that the venue comes with Lydia! Lydia is so much fun, and she really cares about making your special day exactly how you want it to be. She really goes above and beyond to make your vision come to life. She was always prepared with recommendations for vendors, and spent countless hours texting, calling and meeting with me and Joe. She was also great at sharing her expert opinions without allowing them to sway my own. She really pours everything into making the Arling a one-of-a-kind space that is truly just perfect for weddings. The day of went so smoothly thanks to Lydia’s attention to detail. She even remembered to offer me the last piece of wedding cake! We can’t thank Lydia enough for all her hard work that made our wedding day the best day ever!
