The Arling is a beautiful rental location that would suit almost any need. The owner, Lydia, makes the experience so effortless and stress free. I was expecting a wedding weekend of endless tasks and instead had a beautiful weekend of memories I will treasure forever. I hope I have friends who book this venue just so I can visit with Lydia and Chuck again. I’m so thankful that we chose this location to make our family memories.

I have been a bridesmaid in two weddings that were held at The Arling and I must say Lydia Petersen is the one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I know. She goes above and beyond to help not only the bride have the wedding of her dreams, but she also comes to the rescue for the inevitable mishaps and dress malfunctions on the big day. I can’t recommend her or her beautiful venue enough. She has poured her heart and soul into The Arling and it shows.

I just attended a wedding at the Arling this past weekend. It was one of the prettiest and organized venue that I have ever attended. Lydia is very detail oriented and makes sure everything is exactly what the bride wants and has dreamed of for her big day.
The barn has some beautiful and unique details that makes the evening even more special.
It was the PERFECT night for the wedding.

I am absolutely speechless. Our wedding was a dream come true all thanks to Lydia, Chuck, and team at The Arling at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek Golf Course. From the very beginning when I stepped foot in the Arling for a venue visit till September 14th 2019 when I told Lydia thank you and goodnight after our wedding it has been an amazing experience! I love love love the character The Arling has. No other venue I visited stood out to me like it. I will be forever grateful for Lydia and all her help for making our wedding perfect. This place is great! We met Lydia at the Pink Bride show and loved the pictures of the venue. As soon as we started walking around the place we knew our wedding would be there. Most of the barn type places we went had a few things that made us say “well it is a barn” but everything about the Arling is beautiful. It is a barn so it naturally has a great rustic look but it dresses up really well if a more refined look is your style. She had the whole place built out to be an event center but it still has the character of the rustic barn. Lydia is constantly adding new touches and highlights, the place looked different (and gorgeous) every time we went there. There are lots of areas around the venue itself to be outside and spread out and our guests loved the whole place. Even our photographers were giddy with some of the cool shots they were able to get around the place. We got so many compliments from all of our friends and family about how beautiful the place was and how pretty all the decorations were.
Lydia has tons of decorations so many of the ideas we had were things she had on hand so we didn’t have to bring in lots of extra decorations. She had lots of suggestions for better ways to set things up and how to organize stuff. She even went out and bought some decorations we wanted that she thought would be stuff she could use again. She has a great eye for setting up gorgeous decorations. We weren’t really sure what we wanted on florals so we brought in some ideas, set a budget, and let her run with it and couldn’t have been happier with the results.
She had great contacts in the area and set us up with lots of other great vendors. She even saved the day and found a last minute hair stylist where our hair and makeup person no-showed with no communication (DO NOT use Brittany Goodrich or BrittGArtistry. She has no-showed on at least 7 different weddings with the same “broken down car” excuse at all of them).
It was raining on our wedding day and the weather cleared up about 30 minutes before the ceremony. Because of this Lydia was out putting up decorations and getting things set up for us to have our outdoor ceremony right up to a few minutes before the event. She could have just called it and said we had to do it inside but we are so glad she made the outdoor ceremony happen.
Our only real complaint with The Arling is that Lydia can be somewhat disorganized and is hard to get communication from sometimes. We had to email or text here some questions multiple times before we got any kind of response. I think she just has too many projects going and needs an assistant to help out with communication and organization. When you are speaking with her face-to-face and have her full attention she is fantastic; over email, not so much.
That being said, our wedding would not have been nearly as great without Lydia and the Arling. We would absolutely use her again and would recommend The Arling to anyone else for their wedding or event.

From the moment, my mother and I did a walk through of The Arling, we absolutely fell in love. This venue is absolutely fabulous. The barn is spacious and the grounds are just gorgeous. We both knew immediately that it was the only place for my wedding.
The bonus is that the venue comes with Lydia! Lydia is so much fun, and she really cares about making your special day exactly how you want it to be. She really goes above and beyond to make your vision come to life. She was always prepared with recommendations for vendors, and spent countless hours texting, calling and meeting with me and Joe. She was also great at sharing her expert opinions without allowing them to sway my own. She really pours everything into making the Arling a one-of-a-kind space that is truly just perfect for weddings.
The day of went so smoothly thanks to Lydia’s attention to detail. She even remembered to offer me the last piece of wedding cake!
We can’t thank Lydia and Chuck enough for all their hard work that made our wedding day the best day ever!

My daughter married the man of her dreams this passed Saturday at “The Arling” at Kenny Perry’s golf course. To just say how perfect the night was and give 5 stars simply does not tell the story as it should be told. Therefore, it must be lengthy;)
Years before “The Arling” wedding venue ever existed, my daughter was home from college working a promotional tent at the K.P golf course. She and another lady started talking. The “sweet lady “asked my daughter what she was studying and what she thought she might want to do. My daughter was a business major and at the current time was enjoying exploring different interests. Event planning came up in the conversation; my daughter, expressing an interest, then learned that this ‘sweet lady’ had a lot of experience in this area. . Somewhere in their conversation, she tells my daughter just to make sure to ‘pursue her dreams’ because her own dream for a long time was to own her own venue, and that ‘dream’, was in its beginning stages of becoming reality.
This “sweet lady” was Lydia Peterson, the “ Arling’s “owner and wedding planner.
Fast-forward about 3 years, my daughter is engaged. The first thing she did was to find out if a wedding venue was in place at the Kenny Perry Golf Course -and it was. With a list of venues to visit, she was, of course, very anxious to visit the “Arling’ right away. This was the first time I had met Lydia but it took no time at all to see that this lady was pretty special. Lydia remembered talking to my daughter years before and as I listened to my daughter explain her ‘dream wedding’ ideas , I could see Lydia had a passion for making wedding dreams come to life. When the ‘date’ needed was available, I suggested we go ahead and book ( this shocked my daughter because , I am typically the ‘shop around’ type’).. Whether it was the fact that she had taken a sincere interest in a young college student years before, or, that in a few short minutes we felt like we had known Lydia for a lifetime, the desire to look at other venues was no longer there. Lydia had our trust. We booked “The Arling’ without visiting other venues and never regretted it. To say that my daughter had the wedding of her dreams is an understatement. As the mother of the bride, I could never express in words truly how impressive and helpful Lydia was thru every detail. Of course, everything was beautiful and perfect because Lydia has that magical gift of making things lovely: She also runs a professional business with the perfect balance of professionalism, sincerity, and thoughtfulness. She fixed those unexpected issues for us, had patience like I’ve never seen even when being pulled in many directions or when my daughter kept changing her mind on things ((some a few short hours before ceremony) She and her awesome team are some of the hardest working, patient people I have ever seen- yet even while working they had joy in their faces. Chuck made sure we knew where everything was and had what we needed at the bridal cottage and even shared interesting history of this precious 1800’s historical dollhouse. Well, my heart was exploding and I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone at “The Arling” who had any part of my daughter’s special day. Lydia-you- are- AMAZING-yet so humble! Franklin Kentucky is the cutest little town ever. People like each of you at the Arling make it the warm town that it is. The world needs more people like ‘The Arling’ crew! It was more than we ever imagined and we are all forever grateful for the memories. So thankful Lydia that you fulfilled your dream!

My daughter, Megan and Jeffery Ashby were married there Sat June 24, 2017. I cannot say enough about the Arling and everyone working together to make Megan’s day magical. Our family suffered a terrible loss 2 months prior to the wedding, Lydia took care of everything that needed to be done plus more to make this day special. She doesn’t just take care of everything but she gets to know you personally. The food by Kathy Poston, the DJ, everyone went above and beyond.
I cannot say enough about this place, go check it out for any event.

My daughter got married here on Aug 27, 2016 and after checking many venues in Nashville she was directed to the Arling Barn. They both fell in love with it and once I saw it I couldn’t help but agree. The most important part was Lydia (owner & wedding planner). She was awesome, helpful and treated us like she would her family. From the decorations to the food selections and everything in between we could not have been happier. The day before the guys golfed at the Kenny Perry golf course and Lydia helped to arrange that as well. It was a beautiful wedding and a night none of our family will forget. Thank you Lydia for a wonderful experience that Stayci & Dave will never forget. I highly recommend the Arling Barn, could not have been happier.

I stumbled on Lydia and Arling simply because everything else we had originally chosen was booked. We chose the Arling before renovations had even begun, and I found much comfort in Lydia and had confidence in what she was telling me. We booked it, and went by throughout the renovation process as she turned an old tobacco barn, into a magical rustic wedding venue. To say we were satisfied with Lydia is an understatement. Lydia even looked on my pinterest page to make sure I had there some of the different components that I had pinned. She managed my vendors incredibly well the day of the wedding, and even stayed to the very end. I wish we would have used her on more a planning end that just her services that came with the venue. She is such a genuine person, and her husband is such a joy as well. Overall extremely satisfied, and I am still getting comments on how amazing our reception was.

The Arling was PERFECT for our wedding reception! After our first choice reception venue fell through, we were scrabbling to find another place that was near the church and also big enough for the amount of guests we had invited. It was a struggle! Then, we finally found The Arling! Lydia was quick to help in catching up with where we had gotten behind in looking for a new place. She was also so helpful in planning and organizing our reception.
The Arling itself is a wonderful place to have a large event like a wedding reception. There is room for approximately 275 people, there are inside and outside areas, and there are so many different ways you could decorate it to have the perfect look for your wedding or event. ALSO, on the grounds there are some awesome spots for photo opportunities (especially during the sunset)!
The price is a little higher than what we wanted to pay, but I would say it was well worth it! I would recommend anyone to consider having their wedding reception at The Arling!
